Research from Pat Mefferd:

Ranger 5: This stallion is shown to be unregistered in the ApHC Stud Book…he sired Fordham’s Apache F-1279, a 1949 leopard gelding, bred in Salina, Utah.

In the CRHA Reference Book (1997) he is shown to be by Ranger CRHA #5, however CRHA #5 is assigned to the stallion named Purple #5. I believe it to be a typo, should be CRHA #4, therefore, Fordham's Apache has been credited to Ranger CRHA 4.
